Wild Boy of Aveyron. Seriously kids, for your own good, check out this band right now. They freaking destroy and it was a pleasure to play with them tonight in Akron. I think we made long-term friends with them today, and we’re super excited about having them come out to brooklyn to share their music with more people.
This tour is off to a terrific start. Everyone who came out was incredibly nice and had nothing but kind words to share about our music. We definitely appreciate it and it’s made the last two years of music tinkering well worth the wait.
Musica was a really comfortable place to play. The stage was big, which was nice for Ron to set up all his drum and programming gear. The sound and door people were both super friendly and helpful. The sound guy (wish I had gottten his name) even went out of his way to record our set for us on my laptop. (I’m listening back now and I’ll post something if it’s good enough.)
We’re heading off to do a live in-studio at WBGU FM in Bowling Green, OH tomorrow. You can listen online here @ 2:45 if you’re not in the nearby area. If you are in the area, you should listen however you can and then visit us at our show at Mickey Finn’s in Toledo tomorrow night. We’re playing with Sangsara and A Million Engines in Neutral. We’re amped (figuratively and literally)!
